"Gamewell" Fire Alarm Box

A vintage Gamewell fire alarm box. This red metal box was manufactured by the Gamewell Co. and features a pull down handle which would have been used to summon the fire department. The front of the box is embossed with “Gamewell” along with a logo of a fist grasping lightning rods. To the bottom is marked ‘Fire Alarm Station, The Gamewell Co., Newton, Mass’.

- item has been refinished; minor areas of finish loss measuring under .25" at top edge, hinges and around hanging hardware; locking mechanism has been removed.
