A collection of two antique metal mesh handbags with hand-painted designs. Included is a Whiting & Davis Co. gold tone metal mesh frame bag with a rolo and bar link chain handle, an Art Deco style clasp and raised pattern to the frame that is brand marked and includes a personal monogram to the interior. It features a hand-painted abstract floral design rendered in hues of yellow, mauve, blue and green. Also, an unbranded silver tone metal mesh bag with a gold tone frame, designed with a gold tone rolo chain link handle, a kiss lock clasp featuring cabochon accents and a raised arabesque motif to the frame. It presents a hand-painted abstract design in hues of green and blue. Both bags are lined.
