A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan wool long rug. This rug is rendered in an abrash palette of red, pink, ivory, indigo, brown, blue, and gray. The red hued field begins with a central medallion flanked by flower filled vases at either end, and featuring a scatter of floral motifs. Framing the field is a main deep indigo grounded leaf and blossom border, along with meandering guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
