A hand-knotted Persian Malayer wool long rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, ivory, blue, pink, brown, black, orange, and gray. The red hued field features an allover herati design interrupted by a diamond medallion and ivory grounded spandrels each infilled with floral motifs. Framing the field is a main leaf and blossom border, along with a carnation meander guard border, and minor borders along the edges. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
