A hand-knotted Persian Bakhtiari wool rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, ivory, blue, pink, black, and orange. The field has an ogee compartment design featuring floral motifs including roses, trees, and peacocks. Framing the field is a coordinating main border with similar motifs, along with a pair of chained floral guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
