Hand-Knotted Persian Isfahan Wool Room Sized Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Isfahan wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue, ivory, green, pink, yellow, and orange. The red hued field begins with a diamond pendant medallion enclosed by coordinating spandrels with layered ground colored of navy, ivory, and light blue. It also features an allover scrolling floral and foliate design with added palmettes. Framing the field is a main navy grounded herati border, along with floral meander guard and minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe with an embroidered kilim skirt to the ends. It is unlabeled.
