A hand-knotted Persian Heriz wool runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue, pink white, beige, burgundy, and black. The red hued field features five star shaped medallions enclosed by white grounded spandrels and a scatter of rosettes. Framing the field is a main leaf and blossom border over indigo, along with a Hamadan guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends.
