A hand-knotted Persian village wool long rug. This rug is rendered in a slight abrash palette of red, ivory, teal, brown, pink, blue, and orange. The red hued field begins with a row of serrated pendant medallions enclosed by ivory grounded spandrels. It features boteh plant motifs, depictions of the Iranian flag, along with an abundance of floral and leaf motifs throughout. Framing the field is a main brown grounded shekeri border, along with colorful diagonal striped guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
