A vintage hand-knotted Persian Karaja Heriz carpet runner. This wool pile rug is woven in abrashed tones of red, medium blue, pink, khaki-gold, brown, and ivory. It is centered with hooked geometric medallions, each comprised of rectilinear elements and alternating in color and form. The elongated field is densely populated with floral, foliate, and geometric motifs. Framing the field are almond blossom and floral meander borders over ivory, green blue, and red. The rug is finished with overcast barber pole selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
