A finely hand-knotted Indo-Persian Serapi wool rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, green, indigo, salmon, pink, beige, light blue, and brown. The ivory hued field begins with a central medallion, along with over-sized palmettes, leaf forms, and an array of scrolling flowering vines throughout. Framing the field is a green grounded stylized samovar border, as well as carnation meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends with a kilim skirt. It has a faded unreadable label to the underside.
