Hand-Knotted Indo-Caucasian Wool Rug

A hand-knotted Indo-Caucasian thick wool rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, ivory, yellow, green, and black. The red hued field has a paneled design featuring diamond, ashik, kochak, and other geometric motifs, while separated by double cross vertical bands. An elem panel at one end also helps frame the field patterned with star motifs, and a centralized branch form. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and the remains of a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
