New Haven No. 506 Gingerbread Kitchen Clock, Late 19th Century
Item Details
An antique New Haven gingerbread kitchen clock. This clock has a wooden case with a decorative carved bonnet with an applied molded gable shape, carved side panels, and bracket feet. The front features a glass front door with reverse gilt and pink painted floral and foliate motifs. The door houses the white metal face with a gilt finished bezel, displaying black Roman numerals, spade tipped hands, and two key arbors; time and strike movement. There is a brass finished pendulum and a label to the verso that reads ‘8 Day No.506.’, ‘Striking’, ‘New Haven Clock Co.’.
