A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Malayer Sarouk rug. This rug features a light rust-red field ornamented with stylized floral motifs and an ornate lozenge-shaped central medallion in tans and light blues. The field is capped by four corner spandrels showing coordinating colors and is bound by three minor borders followed by a resolved principal border containing floral motifs. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvedge along the sides and a natural warp fringe to the ends.
