A fine hand-knotted Indo-Caucasian Kazak rug. This wool rug features a vibrant orange-red field ornamented with abstract and organic motifs in gold, orange , cobalt, cream, and olive green with three central medallions. The center field is bound on four sides by a resolved principal border showing abstract motifs, which is flanked by two pairs of minor borders, all of which employ the rug’s overall color palette. The rug is finished to both ends with a natural warp fringe. The rug is unmarked.
