Art Deco Daum and Louis Majorelle Blown Glass and Iron Vase, circa 1920
Item Details
An Art Deco vase by Daum and Louis Majorelle featuring a cased blown glass vessel with a mottled speckled design in dark red, pale yellow, and cream. The glass vase is encased by iron rings to the neck and base connected by geometrical panels of metal tubes soldered at the corners to create a checkered pattern. The glass appears to have been blown while in the metal covering and is bulbous to the lower panels and underside. A maker’s mark is etched to the underside.
