Antique Snuff Boxes in Tortoise Shell and Burl Wood

Item Details

A pair of antique English snuff boxes in tortoise shell and burled wood. The miniature casket form snuff box in tortoise shell veneer has a brass button at the front to release the hinged lid, a paper interior and white glass bead feet. The burled wood snuff box has a hinged lid with a lozenge shaped mother of pearl accent to the lid and a tortoise veneer lining.

Condition

- the burl wood box is in good condition, the tortoise veneer box has some loss, cracks and a broken glass bead foot

Dimensions

- both boxes are similar in size
