Rolling Stones "Some Girls" LP and Stereo Review's 1973 "Ten Years of Beatles"
Item Details
An LP of the Rolling Stones’ career-revitalizing ‘Some Girls’ and a February 1973 issue of Stereo Review with cover story celebrating ‘Ten Years of the Beatles’. The 1972 record includes such soon-to-be classics as ‘Miss You’, ‘Beast of Burden’, ‘Before They Make Me Run’ and ‘Far Away Eyes’ and its artwork included a die-cut sleeve with members of the band in drag alongside celebrities printed on inner sleeve. This is the version immediately reissued with ‘cover under construction’ replacing images of celebrities who threatened legal action. Additional features of the Stereo Review issue include ‘Bowie and Hoople and Reed’ and opera recording reviews – but aside from the Beatles cover story, the really cool parts are the ads for vintage audiophile gear.
