Item Details

A hand-knotted Indo-Heriz wool carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue, tan, cream, green, brown, and peach. The red hued field features four medallions accompanied with rectilinear floral and foliate motifs, while enclosed by cream grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a stylized samovar border, as well as chained guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
