Hermès of Paris "Turandot" Silk Scarf
Item Details
An Hermès of Paris Turandot silk scarf, designed by Natsuno Hidaka and issued in 2002. This purple colorway scarf presents Chinese motifs of flowering arabesques, sea and other creatures in orange, cream, tan and turquoise to a tonal meander pattern background and interior frame. It features a center framed medallion seemingly depicting Prince Calaf and Princess Turnadot, marked ‘Turnadot’ to the to of the frame. Additionally, the scarf is marked ‘Hermès – Paris’ to the lower center, ‘© Hermès’ to the dragon, ‘N. Hidaka’ to the phoenix. It is constructed with hand-rolled sewn edges.
