A set of vintage sterling silver flatware in the Old Newbury pattern by Old Newbury Crafters of Newburyport, Massachusetts. The set includes twelve dinner forks, twelve salad forks, twenty teaspoons, twelve soup spoons, twelve dinner knives, twelve butter spreaders, one sugar spoon, one ladle, one cake and pie server, three tablespoons, one pierced tablespoon, and one serving fork. These pieces feature rounded plain and tapered handles, which are marked ‘Handwrought O.N.C. sterling’ alongside unique silversmith marks to their undersides. These pieces, excluding the hollow handled knives and dessert server, have a total approximate weight of 89.480 ozt and are presented in a wooden silverware chest with brown Pacific Silvercloth anti-tarnish lining and brass hardware.
