Hand-Knotted Persian Kerman Wool Room Sized Rug

Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Kerman wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of pink, blue, ivory, brown, and green. The pink hue field begins with a diamond pendant medallion enclosed by coordinating layered spandrels with ground colors of navy, ivory, and light blue. It features an allover scrolling palmette, floral, and lancet leaf vine-work design. Framing the field is a main herati border over navy, along with floral meander guard borders, and carnation meander minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
