A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Kashan wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red, blue, ivory, pink, and brown. The red hued field begins with a diamond pendant medallion enclosed by coordinating spandrels with ivory and light blue ground colors. It also features an abundance of purling vine-work with palmettes, floral motifs, and lancet leaves. Framing the field is a navy grounded stylized herati border, as well as floral meander guard and minor borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
