Item Details
A semi-antique hand-knotted Turkish wool saddle bag set. This piece features hand-knotted bag faces and central panel in a palette of yellow, red, ivory, light blue, orange, brown, and violet. The bag faces each feature a main medallion with hooked elements, and a floral meander border, while the central panel features two bands of octagons and brackets, with floral meander borders. The reverse is handwoven and features a colorful striped design in coordinating hues. The selvedges are double overcast, and the ends are bound. It is unlabeled.
