Louis XVI Style Birdseye Maple Desk with Chair, Mid-20th Century

Item Details

A vintage birds’ eye maple desk and cane back chair. The writing desk features a leather surface with embossed edge. The desk is configured with two drawers on each side, with a knee hole and center pencil drawer, all in a birds’ eye maple veneer drawer fronts, and a darker tone case. The desk case includes tapered legs, drawer hardware with star-shaped escutcheons and even side hardware. The cane back chair is by Drexel-Heritage. It features a shaped back with painted Asian design, upholstered seat, and a floral carved seat frame. Marked ‘Drexel-Heritage.’
