A finely hand-knotted Indo-Persian Meshed wool stair or carpet runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of scarlet, ivory, black, sky blue, navy, lavender, and pale gray. The scarlet colored field features an ornately designed allover floral pattern with several medallions down the center. It has a compound border in a coordinating color scheme with stylized meander of palmettes and added blooms. Finishing this runner are overcast selvedges and two natural warp fringed ends. Unmarked.
