A handmade needlepoint Aubusson style wool area rug and accent rug. The area rug has a palette of green, black, golden tan, pink, light blue, orange, ivory, gray, and brown. It has a black ground with a green lozenge field beginning with a central oval medallion infilled with foliate motifs, and framed in bouquets of roses and other flowers. Scrolling leaves, ribbons, and floral clusters also populate the field. Framing the field is a main stylized egg and dart border. The accent rug offered is rendered in a palette of ivory, black, light blue, pink, beige, and brown. It has a black ground with a large oval medallion in an ivory ground featuring a cluster of roses, while framed in scrolling foliate motifs. The main border is grounded in a light blue color, and features corner medallions, along with an array of coordinating floral and leaf motifs. Finishing both of the rugs are folded edges and ends, they are unlabeled.
