Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Northwest Persian tribal carpet runner. This wool pile rug is woven in dark hues of red, yellow, blue, green, and brown, with ivory accents throughout. The elongated field is centered with a chain of diamond medallions, infilled with geometric elements and framed by stepped halos. Each corner spandrel is infilled with hooked rectilinear motifs. Framing the field are running water guard borders along with a primary border of multi-armed medallions over deep blue. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
