A vintage hand-knotted Turkish Shirvan accent rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in tones of rose, blue, green, brown, and ivory. It commences with a polyagonal medallion, infilled with geometric motifs and bordered with hooks. The field is populated with rectilinear and bird shaped fillers. Framing the field are reciprocal guard borders, while the primary border displays a resolved triangular motif over rose. The rug is finished with double overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
