Hand-Knotted Indo-Persian Heriz Wool Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian Heriz accent rug. This wool pile rug is worked in hues of red, blue, green, yellow, grey, and ivory. It commences with a polyagonal medallion comprised of geometric florals and flanked by palmette pendants. The irregular field is infilled with complementary motifs and grounded by layered spandrels. Framing the field is a single border featuring a samovar pattern over red. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges, a bried kilim skirt, and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
