A hand-knotted Persian carpet runner. This wool pile rug is rendered in an abrashed hues of orange, red, blue, yellow, tan, and ivory. It commences with a trio of polyagonal medallions comprised of geometric and floral elements. The lozenge field is populated with lobed rosettes, rectilinear fillers, and bird forms. Framing the field are floral meander guard borders, while the primary border displays a leaf and blossom pattern over tan. The rug is finished with overcast barber pole selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
