Hand-Knotted Pakistani Baluch Wool Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Pakistani Baluch area rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in tones of red, green, tan, yellow, and ivory. The elongated field features an allover latttice of geometric forms with multi-colored accents and x motifs. Framing the field are chains of rectilinear elements and stylized S borders. The rug is finished with double overcast selvedges, a brief kilim skirt, and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
