Hand-Knotted Persian Tribal Wool Rug

A vintage hand-knotted Persian tribal area rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in hues of red, blue, pink, tan, grey, and ivory. The hexagonal field features an allover lattice of rosettes and is delineated by solid and sawtooth borders and grounded by large scale corner selvedges. Framing the field are barber pole and geometric guard borders and rosette secondary borders. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
