Item Details
A circa mid-19th century antique hardcover set of Sir William Jardine’s The Naturalist’s Library, in nineteen volumes (incomplete). The work is illustrated with steel engravings, including hand-tinted engravings. Bound in navy blue leather hardcovers with stamped and gilt lettering to the spines, and gilt page edges. Published by W.H. Lizars of Edinburgh, undated. Includes 14 volumes of ‘Birds’ and five of ‘Fishes’.
