A vintage hand-knotted Persian Mashhad area rug. This wool pile rug features a floral pendant medallion in hues of cream, pink, sky blue, sage, indigo, and raspberry. The lozenge field is populated with floral sprays and grounded by ornate spandrels in deep blue.. It has a pale blue primary border flanked by meandering carnation guard stripes. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. A label to the reverse reads ‘Made in Iran’.
