Item Details

A hand-knotted Persian Kurdish Bijar long rug. This wool rug features a serrated pendant medallion on a dark brown lozenge shaped ground over a tan field. It is infilled with geometric boteh, floral, and foliate forms in a palette of blue, bright pink, gray, and ivory. Framing the field is a leaf and blossom border, as well as a two-petal calyx meander guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
