A hand-knotted Persian Ardekan Kashan area rug. This rug features a traditional Kashan design with a medallion in blue and ivory on a red field patterned with shah abbasi palmettes and spandrels. It has a dark blue main border, a guard stripe with a meandering carnation motif, wool warp fringe and overcast selvedges. It is unlabeled.
