A vintage hand-knotted Qashqai long rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in hues of red, orange, blue, pink, yellow, brown, purple, green, and ivory. It commences with a vertical chain of stepped hexagonal medallions comprised of geometric and floral motifs. The field is populated with stepped and arrowed compartment medallions, rosettes, and rectilinear fillers. Framing the field are thin barber pole guard borders, while the primary border displays a multi-colored almond blossom pattern over ivory. The rug is finished with overcast barber pole selvedges and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
