A hand-knotted Persian Sarab area rug. This rug features a hexagonal medallion with pendant forms inside a larger hexagon in a palette of red, blue, violet, black and cream. The field is enclosed by a meandering floral guard border, a main border with geometric forms and a laleh abbasi minor outer border. The rug is finished in hand overcast selvedges and natural warp fringe. No tags or marks are present.
