Vintage Kanstul-Besson Meha C Trumpet with Case

A vintage Kanstul-Besson Meha professional C trumpet, circa 1960s. This custom made brass instrument has a silver plated finish and features a sterling silver bell as well as a reverse leadpipe. The bell section is stamped ‘Steme Prototy, Paris * France, MEHA, F. Besson, 66 Hautes Récompenses, 6 Grands Prix Hors Concours, Membre du Jury.’ The second valve casing is also stamped with the serial number 7813 and ‘F. Besson Kanstul, Made in U.S.A.’ The instrument also includes an F. Besson brown leather hard case. This horn was customized for a renowned Boston-based musician and was used during a lifetime of sympony, jazz and big band work.
