1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow
Item Details
A 1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow featuring an automatic transmission 6.2 Litre, 172hp V8 gasoline engine and unitary construction. This John Polwhele Blatchley designed luxury sedan has a deep brown paint scheme, a finely appointed leather interior in a light butter finish and refinished burlwood and leather dashboard with classic analog gauges and clock. 1969 was the first year Rolls Royce designed its cars for the owner-driver as opposed to the chauffeur and included new design features such as disc brakes instead of drum brakes, and an independent rear suspension replacing the outdated live axle design of previous Rolls Royce models. This Silver Shadow has been in the same family since 1975 and comes with a rare working in-dash Philips radio, power windows, original hard bound car specific owner’s manual, newer tires with less than 500 miles on them, two CD-Roms with parts and service manuals and service records from the Sports Car Store LLC. This car has the distinction of being the car driven by Michael Stuhlbarg’s character Harper Hamilton in the movie Miles Ahead.
