A fifty-six piece set of Royal Crown Derby bone china dinnerware in the Gold Aves pattern. Offered are eight dinner plates, eight salad plates, eight bread plates, eight rim soup bowls, seven fruit bowls, eight cups, eight saucers and a creamer. The pattern displays a 22k gilded floral design with peacocks and birds of paradise on a white ground with gilt trim to the scalloped edge. Aves was first introduced in 1936 and was inspired by an embroidered fabric designed by Albert Gregory. The undersides bear the maker’s mark, with date marks shown for 1973, 1975, 1977 and 1978.
