A finely hand-knotted Pakistani Kashan wool area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of burgundy, indigo, cream, sky blue, mint green, peach, walnut, and pale gray. The indigo colored field features an ornately designed allover floral pattern with central medallion, while framed in a burgundy grounded main stylized meander of palmettes and added blooms. A pair of floral meander guard borders help frame the field as well. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and sewn on fine cotton fringe to the ends.
