A hand-knotted Persian Qum Tree of Life room-size rug. This rug features a pictorial tree of life motif, skillfully decorated with deer, birds, vases and urns, and floral branches in a color palette of ivory, brown, camel, powder blue, azure to indigo, deep blue, red, teal, yellow ochre, evergreen, olive, taupe, and pale pink. It has a dusty pink broken border with vignettes of deer and vases, accented with bird figures, and ends in short cotton warp fringe. Labeled ‘Made in Iran’ to the reverse.
