A watercolor painting on paper by listed artist Robert Herrmann (American; 1922-1996), dated late 20th century. This work depicts a truncated view of a partially abstracted architectural landscape comprised of adjacent buildings portrayed with angular lines. The piece is unsigned and presented within white matting.

Herrmann acquired his formal artistic and architectural training at the University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State University, University of Iowa, and Columbia University. While professionally trained, he chose to never exhibit his work publicly, making his first solo exhibit posthumous. He is known for his precisionist style and his paintings of architectural landscapes.
