An untitled watercolor painting on paper by listed artist Robert Herrmann (American; 1922-1996), created in the late 20th century. This work features a view of modernist architecture and a prominent white steeple piercing a blue sky. Initialed ‘RH’ in graphite to the lower right, the work is presented within off-white matting and remains unframed.
Robert Herrmann acquired his formal artistic and architectural training at the University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State University, University of Iowa, and Columbia University. While professionally trained, he chose to never exhibit his work publicly, making his first solo exhibit posthumous. He is known for his precisionist style and his paintings of architectural landscapes.
