Hand-Knotted Persian Abadeh Wool Long Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Abadeh wool long rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of deep red, indigo, cream, orange, gray, and dark green. The deep red hued field begins with a pole featuring a central hexagonal medallion, while ending in branch forms. It also features tree of life motifs, and an abundance of filler motifs enclosed by indigo grounded spandrels each infilled with similar symbols and a partial medallion. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
