Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian mir-a-boteh carpet runner. This wool pile rug is rendered in hues of tan, brown, green, and blue, with ivory accents throughout. The elongated field features an allover lattice of geometric boteh, each row alternating in direction. Framing the field are barber pole and X and diamond guard borders, while the primary border displays a stylized seraband motif grounded by boteh. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe. A label to the reverse reads ‘Made in Iran’.
