Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Indo-Persian Heriz carpet runner. This wool pile rug is rendered in hues of red, blue, green, yellow, and pink, with ivory accents throughout. It is centered with a trio of polyagonal medallions, each of geometric elements and flanked by palmette pendants. The elongated field is delineated with stepped and crenellated borders and infilled with floral and foliate motifs. Framing the field is a rectilinear samovar pattern. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges, a brief kilim skirt, and wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
