A hand-knotted Persian Qashqai wool rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of red-brown, dark brown, cream, gray, and goldenrod. The red-brown hued field features a pole of two stepped medallions enclosed by geometric or possible boteh motifs. Framing the field is a cream grounded box meander border, along with a box guard border. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled with a merchant or importer tag to the underside.
