Hand-Knotted Persian Turkmen Wool Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Turkmen wool runner. This rug is rendered in a palette of tan, red, green, ivory, brown, and black. The tan hued field features a central pole of serrated medallions enclosed by partial forms along the edges. Framing the field is a main unresolved border of geometric medallion with hooked devices, as well as diamond patterned guard borders, and elem panels. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a wool warp fringe to the ends. It is labeled with a ‘Made in Iran’ importer tag to the underside.
